Camelback Christian School...
Dedicated to the Best in Early Learning...
Because strong relationships are the foundation for a child feeling safe, competent, loved and free to explore, and experiment we...
--intentionally work to build a relational framework of value, worth, and trust with each child.
--focus on how we interact as we teach by being present in the moment and evaluating what a child's needs from us...emotionally, socially, physically, cognitively and spiritually.
Because young children process learning differently and each child learns at different rates and in a variety of ways, we...
--recognize and support all areas of their development and encourage each child's sense of worth and belonging and the contributions they make.
--create a variety of fun, well-planned hands-on learning environment to engage and meet the interests, development and learning of each child.
--extend children's learning by engaging in opened ended questions and conversation that will stretch thought processes and problem solving skills and make links to learning.
--recognize there are many ways to think. We help young children to become more aware of what they and other's are thinking; not always for a "right" answer, but with the goal of them becoming more confident about expressing those thoughts and inspiring them to think in new and different ways.
--observe and assess each child to know "where he or she is" in all aspects of their growth, development and learning. We then develop strategies through the activities, experiences and materials we provide to enhance the development of each child and the class as a whole.
Because the family and culture each child has grown up in is unique, we...
--recognize and support the influences of the family and are sensitive to its composition, language, and culture
--make connections between the school and home to build positive, supportive relationships that enhance the life of the child and family
Because our priority is for all around great high-quality experiences, relationships and a love for learning we...
---hire, train and support staff who are inspired, qualified, committed, professional.
---create rich experience and have a ton of fun
--dedicate ourselves to modeling the love of Christ in what we do and say
The best curriculum comes off the page and into practice.
Understanding that young children learn best by exploring, experimenting, and expressing; our hands-on, developmentally appropriate, curriculum is planned with each child in mind. We observe the child during the day so we know the child! Teachers interactions and guidance expand a child's thinking to the… how, why and 'what do you think', or, Think about this.' Open-ended questions that challenge those little brains are so important! Do and think, think and do.
Steps of learning build upon current knowledge and comprehension with the critical future as the goal.
Our low child to teacher ratios offer a huge benefit to your child’s education and social and emotional development.
We love to share all the exciting progress with you. Emails, texts, notes, photos and conferences allow the staff and you to enjoy your child's growth and development. The staff is also always available for questions or concerns and we’ll certainly bring any of our concerns to you!

Bible time is held in each classroom each day and once a week we hold chapel for all students where we present God’s truth from scripture in meaningful ways for a beginning exposure and understanding of who he is, his creation of all things, and why we need Jesus as our Savior. Each month we develop a theme around one of the Fruits of the Spirit as found in Galatians 5:22 and integrate songs, activities, and scripture memory.
Each classroom at Camelback Christian School is staffed by teachers and assistants with years of experience. Some have been with the school for as long as 20 years with the average tenure being approximately 12 years. The age groupings are based on a child’s age as of September 1st regardless of when they start the school year.

After a great first year we're following parent demand and will have JUMP START again August 17-28th, 2020! Over these two weeks this prequel to preschool will have the children engaged in experimenting, discovery, thinking, and expressing themselves. JUMP START offers 2-5 days a week, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. We’ll pack in so many awesome activities that encourage and stretch each child! Class size is limited so don't wait on this one....it filles up very fast. Then our full array of CCS programming begins on August 31st.
Take a close look at the new EXTENDED DAY SCHOOL Program-- We call it XDS! We now provide the option to start school at 8:00 am and stay up to 4:00 pm. The 'XDS' program schedule is a continuation of our educational focus but we’ve changed it up some. To give you a snapshot, we have extra awesome experiences for the children…STEM, LEGO CLUB, SCIENCE, LANGUAGE & LITERACY, ART MASTERPIECE, MUSIC & MOVEMENT, SPORTS & GAMES.
Lunch Bunch is a great program that can be added to any day. It includes learning centers, lunch (favorite foods from home), story time, art, games, music, outdoor play, and beginning sports/fitness skills.
